The Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague (CETE-P), funded by the Horizon Europe programme ERA Chairs and based at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, is looking for a colleague to implement and develop communication and public relations activities.

Responsibilities

We have a well-defined communication strategy, established channels, valuable experience and a great research & support team. What will your role involve?

• Creating content for our newsletter, social media channels, and press releases
• Administering CETE-P website, overseeing both content and web design development
• Coordinating PR activities related to events such as workshops, conferences, and lectures, including media liaison
• Identifying and exploiting media opportunities to promote CETE-P, engaging with journalists and stakeholders
• Collaborating with external graphic designers and photographers to produce visual materials; providing basic graphic works (creating posters and banners in Canva and other tools)
• Participating in weekly project team meetings
• Ensuring compliance with the EU’s guidelines for CETE-P communication activities
• Working closely with the project team to achieve our communication objectives

Requirements

• Proficiency in written English and Czech
• Interest in promoting themes related to environmental and technological ethics
• Familiarity with media environments
• Previous work experience in media, communications, and/or dissemination of scientific research results

We offer

• Part-time position (0.3 FTE/12 hours per week)
• Contract for 1 year (with a 3-month probation period) with the possibility of extension

• Office space located in the historical centre of Prague (Celetná street)
