Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Scientific worker in research and development in the Department of Space Physics.
The Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences announces (in accordance with Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, as amended by Act No. 420/2005 Coll., and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences) a selection procedure for the following position of Scientific worker in research and development in the Department of Space Physics:
The successful candidate will assist in the research in physics of lightning discharges and related phenomena. The work shall involve analysis of terrestrial and spacecraft data focusing on the properties of thunderclouds.
Requirements:
- Recent bachelor degree in physics or in a related field
- Basic programming skills
- Orientation in meteorology
- Active knowledge of the English language
We offer:
- Start date: 1 February 2025
- Part-time employment (50%)
- 1-year contract with a possibility of extension
