Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Fibre Bragg Gratings.
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position to implement the fibre Bragg grating inscription setup and to design fibre Bragg gratings for laser applications within the Fibre Lasers and Nonlinear Optics research team.
Job description
The selected candidate will implement the interferential UV laser system for fibre Bragg grating inscription, perform research in low-noise single-frequency fibre lasers and investigate fibre Bragg gratings for high-power fibre lasers.
Requirements
- PhD degree (equivalent) in the field of fibre lasers.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Experience with design of fibre gratings, UV laser interferometric setups, fibre components is advantage.
