Institute of Biotechnology of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Lab Assistant in the Centre of Molecular Structure, located at the Institute of Biotechnology in BIOCEV campus.

Requirements:
- University education in biophysics, biochemistry, biology, physics, chemistry, or a relevant field
- Research experience in biophysics and/or spectroscopy or structural biology methods is welcome
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken (B2)
Job Description:
The Centre of Molecular Structure belongs to the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology and is one of the centres providing research services in Instruct-ERIC – the European infrastructure for structural biology. It brings together several core facilities, providing a comprehensive approach to studying the three-dimensional structure, function, and biophysical properties of biological molecules. As a Lab Assistant, you will be involved in the basic operation and maintenance of instruments, sample preparation, data analysis, and communication with users. Experience with routine biochemical and biophysical methods is beneficial. The Lab Assistant will also handle administrative tasks such as supplying and ordering services, maintaining records of facility users, projects, and consumables, and assisting in user training and hands-on workshops.
