Institute of Philosophy of the CAS announces a competition for the position Communications & PR Specialist (Part Time, 0,5 FTE).
The Center for Environmental and Technology Ethics - Prague (CETE-P), funded by the Horizon Europe programme ERA Chairs and based at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, is looking for a colleague to implement and develop communication and public relations activities.

Responsibilities
We have a well-defined communication strategy, established channels, valuable experience and a great research & support team. What will your role involve?
- Coordinating PR activities related to events such as workshops, conferences, and lectures, including media liaison
- Identifying and exploiting media opportunities to promote CETE-P, engaging with journalists and stakeholders
- Working closely with the project team to achieve our communication objectives
- Creating content for our Newsletter, social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn), and press releases
- Administering CETE-P website, overseeing both content and web design development
- Collaborating with external graphic designers and photographers to produce visual material
- Minor graphic design work (creating posters and banners in Canva and other tools)
- Assisting with production tasks for research events (distributing posters at partner institutions, coordinating video/audio recording etc.)
- Participating in regular project team meetings
- Ensuring compliance with the EU’s guidelines for CETE-P communication activities
Requirements
- Proficiency in written/spoken English and Czech (approx. C1 level)
- Interest in promoting themes related to environmental and technological ethics
- Familiarity with media environments
- Previous work experience in media, communications, and/or dissemination of scientific research results
We offer
- Part-time position (0,5 FTE/20 hours per week)
- Work contract for 1 year (with a 3-month probation period) with the possibility of extension for up to 3 years (until December 2027)
