Selection Procedures

We are seeking an expert in recombinant protein production for the Protein Production Laboratory at the Centre of Molecular Structure, a core facility that is part of the national infrastructure CIISB and the European infrastructure Instruct-ERIC.

The CMS is part of the Czech Infrastructure for Integrative Structural Biology (https://www.ciisb.org/) and the European Infrastructure Instruct-ERIC (https://instruct-eric.eu/). It provides open access to structural biology techniques across Europe, with a strong emphasis on tailored user support. Job Description

• Conducting projects involving cloning, expression, and purification of recombinant proteins for user laboratories.
• Developing methods and providing expertise to the scientific community.
• Actively participating in laboratory operations.
• Contributing to the facility’s development within the context of national and European research infrastructures.
• Collaborating within CIISB and Instruct-ERIC.
• Facilitating open access to structural biology techniques.

Requirements

• A university degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology, or related fields.
• Proven experience with DNA cloning, recombinant protein expression, and purification techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1 level) – both written and spoken.
• Clean criminal record.
• Experience with tissue culture techniques is an advantage.
• Publication record in relevant fields is an advantage.
