
Selection Procedures
Institute of Archeology of the CAS, Brno announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Scientist/scholar with a focus on the archaeology of protohistorical stages, specializing in heuristics, determination, and interpretation of numismatic sources in the broad cultural, political and economic context.
Achieved scientific rank (Ph.D., CSc.). Extensive professional experience and excellent publications. Experience in the conception, organization, and implementation of domestic and foreign research projects, involvement in international research teams, and an already established network of foreign contacts with the potential to join new international projects. In addition to theoretical basic research, the position includes participation in the department's organizational, editorial, and popularization activities. Part of the position is dedicated to editorial care of a specialized journal, experience in this activity is required. Prerequisites and motivation for scientific work. Professionalism, moral integrity, independence, initiative. Appropriate language skills.
Part-time work (12–20 hours per week); fixed-term contract (5 years), expected to start 1 March 2025
