Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the CAS announces an open competition in accordance with the Act No. 283/1992 Coll. on the Czech Academy of Sciences, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a position Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Meteorology.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences, physical geography, geosciences, or other relevant disciplines, received in 2019 or later
- Demonstrated publication activity
- Experience in the relevant research field
- Active knowledge of the English language
- Computer programming and data analysis skills
The preferred topics include (but are not limited to) studies of:
- interaction between aerosols, low-level clouds, and precipitation, based on in situ and remote sensing measurements;
- numerical modelling of severe weather phenomena produced by atmospheric convection and/or their detection using remote sensing;
- utilization of artificial intelligence in specialized weather forecasts.

- Start date: 1 July 2025 or later

- 2-year contract with a possibility of extension

- curriculum vitae with list of publications,
- brief (1 page maximum) summary of their research interests and relevant experiences,
- short (1 page maximum) proposal of their work
- copy of their PhD diploma
