
prof. PhDr. Martin Wihoda, Ph.D.
Martin Wihoda (1967) studied history at the universities of Brno, Würzburg and Marburg. He lectures on history with a focus on the Middle Ages at Masaryk University. He was appointed professor in 2010. Member of scientific boards abroad, among others Institut für sächsische Geschichte und Volkskunde Dresden/Germany or Zentraldirektion der Monumenta Germaniae Historica/Munich/Germany. His research focuses on the westernization of central Europe in the early and high Middle Ages. He is the author of a number of monographs published in Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and the USA, among others, and about one hundred studies published mainly abroad.
