ALLEA has announced a call for nominations of experts to the ALLEA Science-Policy Standing Committee and to 5 Task Forces. Details on the specific calls, such as the term of office of the members, expected outputs or required expertise, can be found under the provided hyperlinks below.

1. The ALLEA Science-Policy Standing Committee

serve as a central body to guide and coordinate ALLEA’s engagement in science-policy matters
SC will develop, select, and evaluate Task Forces

2. ALLEA Task Forces:

EDI In Research – Advancing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in European Academia [existing Task Force]
Net Zero – Promoting Climate Sustainability in the Academic System [existing Task Force]
Protecting and Sharing Data - Addressing Challenges in Open Science, Intellectual Property Rights, Data Governance, and the Balance Between Security and Accessibility [new Task Force]
Strengthening Trust in Science - Exploring the Role of Scientific Evidence in Policymaking and Scientific Literacy to Counter Mis- and Disinformation [new Task Force]
Integrating Research Security and Academic Freedom - Ensuring That Research Security Measures Uphold Fundamental Academic Values and International Collaboration [new Task Force]

Nomination of expert should be accompanied by a CV along with a letter of recommendation signed by the director of the Institute of the CAS and sent to e-mail: samalova@kav.cas.cz till April 25, 2025 (all in English). Only CAS employees can claim travel expenses in case of successful nomination.
