
EASAC Call for Nominations of Expert and Programme director

The international organisation EASAC has launched two calls for nominations: a call for an expert for a new working group entitled "Wildfires in Europe" and a call for a Programme Director for Biosciences and Public Health.
Requirements for nomination of the expert for "Wildfires in Europe": CV of the expert + nomination letter of the Institute Director in English – internal deadline: 31 August 2023 (sent to samalova@kav.cas.cz)
Requirements for nomination of the Programme Director: CV and motivation letter of the nominee in English + recommendation of the Institute Director (email in Czech is sufficient) - internal deadline: by 15 August 2023 (sent to samalova@kav.cas.cz)

EASAC brings together the national science academies of the EU Member States, Norway and Switzerland to cooperate in providing scientific expertise to EU policy makers. The Czech Academy of Sciences (the CAS)
The mission of the CAS
The primary mission of the CAS is to conduct research in a broad spectrum of natural, technical and social sciences as well as humanities. This research aims to advance progress of scientific knowledge at the international level, considering, however, the specific needs of the Czech society and the national culture.
President of the CAS
Prof. Eva Zažímalová has started her second term of office in May 2021. She is a respected scientist, and a Professor of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.
She is also a part of GCSA of the EU.
