Japan - JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Overseas Researchers 2025

Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has issued this year's Call for Applications for the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Overseas Researchers FY2025. The Division of International Cooperation of the Czech Academy of Sciences will administer applications from the Czech Republic.
Deadline for applications on the Czech side is 28 April 2025.
Selected applicants must start their fellowship in Japan no later than 30 November 2025.
The Call is open to applicants who have obtained a doctoral degree within six years of the date the fellowship goes into effect (on or after 2 April 2019, see Application Guidelines).
The duration of the fellowship is 12 to 24 months.

List of Eligible Host Institutions
The following documents must be attached to the application (all documents must be either in English or in Japanese):
- PhD certificate (+ translation to English)
- Letter of acceptance/ invitation from the prospective host researcher or host institution in Japan
- Letter of recommendation from a current or previous supervisor

Prof. Eva Zažímalová has started her second term of office in May 2021. She is a respected scientist, and a Professor of Plant Anatomy and Physiology.
She is also a part of GCSA of the EU.
